Viterra is seeking a Team Lead Integration. He/she leads the IT Integration team by providing guidance, instruction, direction and leadership to the IT Integration team for the purpose of achieving key results. The Team Lead reviews and monitoring the performance of the members of his/her team. Is actively involved in developing and maintaining a vision for the development and maintenance of all our integrations and is responsible for communicating that vision to other IT teams and (business) stakeholders.

About the team

This vacancy is part of our Global IT Headquarters, located in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. We have more than 170 IT employees in Rotterdam, divided over 9 main teams: PMO-Office, Business Intelligence, Global IT Operations, Security, Global Application Development, Global Application Support, Center of Expertise SAP, Enterprise Architecture and IT Research desk.

Job description

This is a dynamic position with lots of responsibility within a growing team. You will work closely together with tech and innovation enthusiasts. Your work location will be our office in Rotterdam and our offices across Europe. International travel may be an opportunity when relevant.

The integration team within the Global Application Development team is responsible for the development and support of interfaces and integrations between various applications in our landscape, both internal as external.

The current team consists of 3 Java developers and a Business Analyst.

Required skills and experience

  • Bachelor degree Information Technology or relevant area of expertise;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in java software development as a developer;
  • Managerial and people management skills;
  • Strong planning, organizational and communicative skills;
  • Good presentation skills, and ability to communicate with various audiences, including end users, managers, and members of the IT team;
  • Defining, measuring and delivering business value;
  • Risk analysis and frequent response to changes;
  • Synchronization with other Team Leads and portfolio management;
  • Experience with writing SQL queries for compiling test data or performing impact analyzes;
  • Understanding of the importance of (automated) testing and the different test layers;
  • Good in English (spoken and written).
  • Flexible in working hours; occasional work during evenings or weekends should be expected.
