Job description

As a Service Desk employee you will provide first line IT support to all our internal national and international customers. You will be the first point of contact for all IT related questions. As well as being responsible for the planning, organizing and communicating about the individual solution.  Support varies from user questions, granting access rights, installing software and hardware. Ensuring users have working workstations with the required access needed for their role. Our IT environment is strongly Microsoft oriented. And you will either solve questions yourself or utilizing our second-third lines support organization.  

You will, amongst others:

  • Provide first-line IT Support, on phone and at our Service point;
  • Act as the global first point of contact for all IT related inquiries;
  • Provide (new) employees with workstations, granting the required access rights and installing software and hardware needed for their role;
  • Prioritize, solve or send out issues in a very structured way.
Requirements

In this challenging role we require:

  •  HBO level in the area of information technology;
  • A minimum of 1 year experience as a 1st or 2nd-line service desk employee working in a global context;
  • Certificates: MCP in a relevant field of expertise. Recent ITIL Foundation certificate;
  •  Familiar with applying ITIL procedures;
  •  Knowledge of Client Windows OS (current release of Microsoft client: W10);
  • Familiar with user related settings within Active directory, MS Office, MDM;
  • Experience with printer management;
  • Basic knowledge of SCCM, VMWare and Citrix is considered a pre.
  • Good in Dutch and English language (spoken and written);
  • Able to work in 2 shifts (8:00-17:00 / 9:00-18:00), also in the Rotterdam office because of the Service point.
  • Act as the global first point of contact for all IT related inquiries;

  • Installing software and hardware needed for their role;
