Your role in our network

Operations Officer (EU interior) In this multitasking and versatile role you will be the person who plans, communicates and administrates logistical processes for the EU interior operations department.

Alongside the logistical planning and execution of various agri commodities, you will handle on the spot inquiries and issues relating to logistical processes. You will mainly do this for barges, trains and trucks within Europe (e.g Czech Republic, Germany, Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, Ukraine, Belgium and France) plus import these of ships discharging in the Benelux which are handled by your direct team members.

What will you do?

  • Maintaining a overview of the purchases and sales positions of various agri products within the EU
  • Planning of logistics/storing/transhipment of agri products moving intra-EU or being imported.
  • Following/maintaining logistical pipeline(s) of oilseeds to several crushes
  • Performing precise and timely administration including invoicing of various trains/trucks/barges
  • Frequent contact with clients, service providers and internal stakeholders regarding the execution of commodity contracts, logistical planning etc

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics engineering of similar;
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience;
  • Good communication skills with a good feeling for cultural differences;
  • Combination of strong logistics and administrative skills;
  • A real team player with good overview skills;
  • Good command of English language (spoken and written).
  • Basic knowledge of German language is considered as a pre;
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding work environment;
  • Applicants must be residing in the Netherlands to be considered for this position;
  • A pro-active approach, foreseeing potential issues and quickly finding solutions when they arise.
